Job Summary: Office and Triage Nurse LPN

***In-office position in Beverly, MA:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Office and phone Triage Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive nursing experience, including triage and medical office skills, with a strong emphasis on patient assessment and care coordination. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting while utilizing advanced EMR/EHR systems and a broad range of nursing competencies.

Requirements:

  • Graduated from an NLN-accredited school of nursing
  • Current MA LPN license required
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times, without exception
  • 1-3 years in recent demonstrated nursing experience in outpatient obstetrics or gynecology setting and the ability to function independently highly preferred
  • Experience with EPIC highly preferred
  • Strong computer skills including MSOffice, Internet, and E-mail highly preferred
  • Must have excellent computer, organizational, communication, and relational skills to adapt to the changing needs of a large and busy practice.
  • Must have the willingness and ability to travel to our offices in Beverly, Danvers, Gloucester and Haverhill as needed
  • Must participate in one evening shift, Saturday morning shift in Beverly, or remote weekend call shift once monthly

Physical Nature of the Job:

  • Ability to assist with the transportation, transfer, and ambulation of patients
  • Lifting without assistance up to 25lbs
  • Ability to respond to patient emergencies
  • Able to stand and/or sit without interruption for extended periods of time
  • Capable of working under stress related to multiple patients and/or providers care demands occurring

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history intake, and physical examinations, to determine urgent or non-urgent needs
  • Provide phone triage services by evaluating symptoms, offering appropriate advice, and directing patients to the correct level of care or scheduling appointments accordingly
  • Use effective communication skills and interpersonal skills in obtaining information from patient and in receiving and handling patient- related phone calls
  • Assist providers with office procedures when working at any of our office locations
  • Assist with the rooming process when needed, including providing health education, counseling, and teaching on the patient’s level of understanding
  • Assessing patients’ needs and advising when to seek immediate care
  • Collaborate with MD/NP/PA/CNM to determine the needs of the patient
  • Perform and interpret NST in office
  • Complete nurse visits which include injections and follow-up telephone calls
  • Assist providers with placing orders, coordinating labs, imaging appointments, and referrals
  • Responsible for managing clinical buckets with charge nurse and provider oversight, including:
    • Notifying patients of lab results
    • Answering patient advice requests
    • Refilling prescriptions

Pay: $36 – $42 per hour

Experience:

  • Nursing: 1 year (Required)
  • Phone triage: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
