Qualifications &Education

I did my undergraduate education at Boston University and was one of 15 sophomores admitted early into Boston University School of Medicine at the completion of my undergraduate career. I graduated from undergraduate in 1980 and medical school in 1984. I did my internship and residency at Boston City Hospital (now known as Boston Medical Center).

Professional Specialties/Passions

I enjoy all aspects of women’s health including management of abnormal Pap Smears, abnormal uterine bleeding, hormone replacement therapy and minimally invasive surgical options for most gynecological conditions.

Personal Points

Why do you love what you do?

I am privileged to have been able to participate in the care of women for 35+ years. I love the continuity of seeing patients and growing older as they do.

Why did you choose Essex County OB/GYN?

I interviewed extensively and knew I wanted to stay in the metro Boston area. I immediately connected with every member of the group when I interviewed, felt the family atmosphere, and knew it was the right choice. I never looked back.

Outside of work, you'll find me...

Riding my bike on rail trails around New England
Floating on a lake in Maine
Doing DIY projects in my house and yard

Favorite North Shore spot

Halibut Point State Park in Rockport MA

Tell us one interesting thing about you

I was the third of four boys and grew up in the metro-Boston area to first-generation Americans. As a middle child, I learned to negotiate my way through many of life’s issues. However, I never got a window seat in the family car when growing up.
