Appointments
Please call our main number, 978-927-4800, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday to schedule an appointment, or use this form to request an appointment.
Additionally, if you’re an existing patient, you may use My Lahey Chart to request an appointment.
What should I expect on my first appointment?
New appointments generally require more time than established patients, as we need to learn about your medical history and current concerns in order to provide you with the best possible care. You will find New Patient OB and GYN forms on the “Forms” page of this website; please print them out and complete them prior to your appointment in order to help our providers stay on schedule. If you’re unable to do so, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment. Your help and cooperation is greatly appreciated.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
If you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, please give us at least 24 hours notice so that someone else may use your appointment time.
There may be a $25 charge for appointments that are cancelled without 24 hours’ notice.
If You Arrive Late
In our efforts to make your visit more comfortable and to minimize your wait time, our office has implemented a late arrival policy. If a patient is more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, the appointment may need to be rescheduled. This is to ensure that the patients who arrive on time do not wait longer than necessary. Patients arriving late may be given the option to wait for another appointment time on the same day only if one is available. We will do our best to accommodate late‐comers but are committed to providing timely care to our other patients.
Do you offer walk-in appointments?
Due to the high volume of patients we see each day, we are unable to accept walk-in appointments.
What if I am not available during standard office hours?
Some of our providers offer early morning, evening, and weekend appointments.
Will I see the same physician or midwife every time I come in?
Our providers work together to ensure that our patients can be seen and cared for in the most effective possible way. This means that we cover for each other so someone is available to you at all times. Because all of your medical records are electronic, each provider has access to current information for every patient in our practice. If your regular doctor or midwife is not available, you can make an appointment with another of our providers and trust that you will receive the same knowledgeable and expert care.
What if there is inclement weather?
If there is snow or other inclement weather forecast, please call our Inclement Weather phone number at (978) 232-5536.
What if I have to reschedule an appointment?
If you must change an appointment, please let us know as early as possible so that we may offer the open time to another patient.
What if I have an urgent question or concern?
If you have an urgent question or concern during our office hours, you will be transferred to speak with one of our highly skilled Call Nurses.
If you need to reach us after regular office hours, please call our main number (978-927-4800) and our Answering Service will assist you. If your call is urgent, they will have the provider on call contact you directly.

Covid Vaccination Update
Essex County OB/GYN follows evidence-based practices in the care of our pregnant patients. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American College of Nurse Midwives, and multiple national leading organizations representing experts in maternal care and public health professionals have all recommended Covid-19 vaccination for pregnant and lactating patients. Essex County OB/GYN Associates supports this recommendation.
Pregnant individuals are at increased risk of severe COVID-19 infection, including death. The best way for pregnant individuals to protect themselves against the potential harm from COVID-19 infection is to be vaccinated. Current data are sufficient to support Covid vaccine safety in pregnant and lactating individuals.
Standard Office Hours
Please Note: Emergencies and deliveries do occur and occasionally cause delays in our schedule. We always try our best to honor your appointment time. If we are delayed, we will try to notify you, giving you the choice of rescheduling or being seen by another provider.
